OVERVIEW OF THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

The term creative economies unites all of those industries, which produce goods or services which are of cultural, artistic or entertaining value.

In Germany creative economies are divided into eleven sub-groups: Music, Literature, Arts, Film, Radio, Performing Arts, Design, Architecture, Press, Software/Games and Advertising.

Especially in Berlin, creative economies have become increasingly prominent in the public mind during the last few years. Even during the recent crisis, these markets in Berlin were able to show a stable growth.

But as well in the neighboring country of Switzerland, especially in Zurich, the awareness of creative economies as an economic factor is growing. A reason why we take both cities as a starting point to share concepts and models able to support the creative sector.
